The arolium sensu Snodgrass is the distalmost part of the pretarsus and exclude the planta and manubrium. Tese structures are definitely parts of the "lobe" within pretarsal claws. Therefore the arolium sensu Snodgrass 1942 is not homolgous wit arolium of other references.
